Hypnobirthing… I had never heard of it before falling pregnant. In fact, I hadn’t even really given my future labour a proper thought, other than knowing that I was really excited at the thought that I would one day be going through it. What a weirdo huh? I had been lucky enough to witness a good friends labour a couple of years before, and was so amazed and in love with what I had seen. Not in a creepy way but in a life is a freaking miracle sort of way. (more…)
We are travelling with our son in the morning. For the second time in his little life, we are heading to the airport, hopping onto a plane, and flying away to a warm and tropical destination…and I am both super excited AND absurdly terrified. (more…)
Recently I had “one of those days”. Or more so, “one of those weeks”. Actually now that I think about it, it actually occurred smack bang in the middle of “one of those months”. One of those months where I walked through each day questioning why I am here. Why Am I Here? What the hell is it all for?? How can I grab hold of my own happiness and live it? Sigh. I bloody wish I knew the answers, but at that time I was really just going through the motions of life feeling…well…lost. And the more that I pondered those questions, the louder they got and the more confused and lost I felt. (more…)

Blog note: This product was gifted to mummalifelovebaby So, it has been playing on my mind for sometime now about how we are way too dependant on our gadgets. My husband and I are both so guilty of it, and we are so wrapped up in them that it feels like we barely have time for each other any more. Right now I am tapping on my Mac with one hand whilst searching on my phone for who know’s what with the other hand? And my husband is sitting next to me with his iPad on his lap, his phone next to him and the tv on. And although we are enjoying each others company, we aren’t really talking to each other. So, we had a family photo shoot last weekend for the blog. It was awkward as hell, but it had to be done. Well, it didn’t HAVE to be done, but I had been given a voucher to have it done by the amazing and talented Celeste Reid Larkins and I was actually really excited about it. In the lead up to it I had all of these visions about how kick ass I would be. I had all of these super cool outfit plans in my head, never mind the fact that I would have to get changed mid location surrounded by weeds, enraged magpies and the occasional piles of dog poo.
